The Pikes Peak Pet Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, providing temporary pet food assistance to citizens in El Paso County and surrounding areas. The Pantry started in September 2007, after our founder saw an increase in people needing short-term help with the cost of their animals. We are located in the southeast part of Colorado Springs, with hopes to expand our services to include Pueblo and other areas some day. Since January 1, 2009 we have given out 18,071 pounds of pet food to Colorado residents. [more info]
We are the first pet food bank in the Pikes Peak region and are dedicated to providing assistance to pet owners facing hardship. Our HOPE is that by coming to the aid of pet owners, they are able to keep their beloved pets instead of finding the pets a new home, relinquishing them to a shelter, or abandoning them. We welcome cash donations as well as dry and canned cat and dog food and cat litter. Without our dedicated sponsors, donors, and community, we couldn't continue to help those facing tough decisions. Please consider making a donation today.
Need assistance but not in Colorado? Please see our National Pet Assistance List, or PAL, for unaffiliated pet food assistance programs throughout the US.
