The Pikes Peak Pet Pantry is looking for new and used pet supplies such as crates, carriers, bowls, cat and dog beds, leashes, collars, cat condos, litter boxes, dog houses, shampoo, doggie doors, scratching posts, etc so we may redistribute the supplies back into the community. Have some toys your cats or dogs won't play with? Did your pet recently pass away and you'd like to honor their memory by allowing another pet to use their item(s)? We'll accept any item, including pet food, that has to do with the care or maintenance of a cat or dog. Donations may be dropped off in our donation box located in the office of Astro SecurCare Self-Storage at 4729 Astrozon Blvd [map]. The office is open Monday through Saturday from 9-6p. For more information or to donate, one may CONTACT US or call (719) 217-9528. Please note our 501(c)3 nonprofit status is pending, so we are unable to provide receipts at this time but will once we receive our IRS determination letter. Our Mission Statement “We seek to provide temporary food, care, and maintenance assistance for pets, whose owners might otherwise be forced to surrender their pets to a shelter. We also attempt to offer food assistance to those managing and caring for stray and feral cat colonies. Our purpose is to help disadvantaged pet owners keep and maintain their beloved pets, as pets are usually viewed as part of the family and often offer emotional support, which is essential to a person's well being.”
